<p>The Dub Farris stadium is a 9,000 seat facility for both football and soccer, located within the Dub Farris sporting complex, which is owned by Northside ISD in San Antonio, Texas. The project includes concessions, player dressing rooms, and public toilets, with a two level press-box on one side, and a separate facility for ticket sales, nurse, officials and stadium manager.</p>
<p>MEP Engineering was hired by the project architect, RVK Architects, and contributed the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Plumbing design for home and visitor’s bathroom</li>
<li>HVAC system for press box and field house</li>
<li>Electrical systems including lighting and power distribution, and sports lighting designed to meet IESNA requirements for high school football and soccer.</li>
<li>Illuminated 1,350 car parking lot</li>

<p>Monroe Stadium was built in tandem with Vandergrift High School and adjacent ball fields. MEP Engineering, Inc. provided engineering design services for this football stadium, with grandstand seating for 5000, and the capability for future expansion to 9,000 seats.  The stadium includes a pressbox, home side concourse, a field house, home and visitor’s concession buildings, and athletic storage building. The pressbox encloses approximately 3,450 square feet, and consists of a steel framed gabled room, with a composite concrete and steel framed floor, supported by steel columns and two towers consisting of concrete tilt-up panels, topped by hipped roofs, and exposed galvanized steel trusses. The tower panels are clad with thin brick.</p>
<p>MEP Engineering, Inc. was hired by the project architect, Fields &amp; Associates Architects, and contributed the following:</p>

<p>MEP Engineering, Inc. provided full design, including sports and site lighting, and construction administration services for the stadium. This facility consists of an athletic field and track, athletic support facilities, ticket facility and stadium offices, press box facility, yard and central plant services.</p>
<p>Taking advantage of the 40 feet of wall around the 44-acre site, this 10,200 seat athletic stadium is arranged in a “bowl” setting with the field nestled into the site. The structure of the press box towers and the outbuildings is a variety of insulated and non-insulated concrete tilt wall.</p>

<p>This $22.6 million project included a new 115,500 square foot athletic facility in Del Valle, Texas. This top-of-the-line facility includes a 45,000 square foot weight room, a 40-yard indoor practice facility, a physical therapy room, which includes two whirlpool tubs, the athletics staff’s offices, a conference room, locker rooms, and a balcony overlooking the football stadium.  The project also included new restrooms, concession stands, and entrances for each the home side and the visiting side. MEP Engineering, Inc. provided the HVAC design of a combination of roof top units, and outside air units, and split DX cooling units for IDF rooms, sidewall mounted fans in the indoor practice facility for ventilation. The electrical systems include lighting and power distribution systems for 480/277 volt service.</p>
