Southwest Research Institute, Building 208 New Chemistry Building
MEP Engineering, Inc. worked with DHR Architects to design this new 25,000 square foot two-story laboratory and office building.
The project included 13 fume hoods plus various snorkels, three perchloric acid hoods, a class 10,000 clean area, manifolded fume hood exhaust, VAV lab airflow controls, chiller plant, acid waste system, process cooling water system, lab grade water treatment system, water softener, and lab gasses. Electrical systems included emergency generator, power conditioners, and isolated ground lab panelboards.
The project proceeded through 90% construction documents but was not constructed.
