North East ISD Churchill High School Performing Arts Center
Churchill High School’s Performing Arts Center is an adaptive re-use of the existing theatrical facilities with additions built on the existing site. As part of the scope, a scene shop and blackbox theater were added on to the existing performing arts center, while extensive renovations were completed within the theater itself. The project was complete while maintaining full functionality of the school’s facilities and utilities. The basic designs MEP Engineering, Inc. handled were the new chilled water system including both air handling units and fan coil units, as well as theatrical lighting.
