This $23.6 millon project includes a new 110,418 square foot elementary school for 800 students in Leander, Texas. MEP Engineering was hired by project architect, Pfluger & Associates Architects, and provided the following:

  • Ultra high-efficiency ground-coupled, geothermal heat pumps, serving all classroom/teaching areas
  • Dedicated outside air through multiple heat recovery units equipped with total energy recovery wheels and chilled water cooling coils
  • Plumbing systems with electronic sensors on water closets, urinals and lavatories to conserve water and ensure sanitation
  • Electrical systems included fluorescent classroom, common area lighting, parking lot lighting, and fire alarm systems.

This facility officially opened for its first school year in 2017.
