Camp Sayar/Shaheen/Garmsir
MEP Engineering, Inc. was contracted by ECC to provide design services for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and power systems for new forward operating bases located throughout Afghanistan. Designs included diesel power generation, fuel distribution and stand-alone M|E|P systems for approximately 60 buildings per site.
MEP served as a subconsultant to the general contractor, who coordinated the construction on-site. Due to the necessity of constructing the bases quickly, design and construction of each site was commonly 12 months from beginning to end.
MEP partnered with the contractor on the following bases:
- Farah – Camp Sayar (United States Army Corps of Engineers)
- Balkh – Camp Shaheen (United States Army Corps of Engineers)
- Helmand – Camp Garmsir (United States Army Corps of Engineers)
