C. Darren Schultz, P.E. Principal
Darren Schultz, P.E. brings more than thirty years of experience to MEP Engineering, from a variety of projects, large and small. Since earning his degree from Texas A&M University in 1990, Darren has accumulated an impressive work history, one that highlights his innumerable abilities, and flexible skill sets. Darren’s versatility as an employee is emphasized by the fact that while his work is focused on the electrical side of the M|E|P design, he has a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems as well. Over the years, he has designed integrated material handling automation systems for semiconductor manufacturing, designed and enhanced automated baggage handling systems, as well as worked as a CAD Administrator and Network systems assistant. More recently however, he has engineered electrical systems for commercial and educational buildings. His work included renovations and restorations, as well as new construction. Darren offers a particular focus on K-12 design and has coordinated with nearly all of the school districts in the San Antonio region.
Darren’s design experience includes power distribution systems, fire alarms, emergency power generation systems, security, lighting systems, UPS systems, and communication pathway distribution systems. His simultaneous knowledge of electrical and mechanical design helps him to develop a fuller and more well-rounded approach to system design.
Darren has many interests that keep him busy outside of the work arena. He enjoys fitness training, street cycling, and Tae Kwon Do. His real passion however lies in restoration of vintage automobiles.
