Josh Peterson, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, M.S. MOT Principal
Josh Peterson has developed an expertise in evaluating and designing HVAC and plumbing systems that are high-quality yet simple and effective. He utilizes his experience and training to design systems that improve the efficiency of project delivery and maximize cost efficiency while also providing a system that owners are comfortable maintaining and operating. He is also innately familiar with mechanical construction methods, construction practices, codes and issues related to control of materials and uses this knowledge to help owners better understand plans, specifications, and requirements. Josh holds a master’s degree in Management of Technology, providing him a unique understanding of engineering management practices as well.
His experience spans from various K-12 and higher education projects to civic and federal projects that range in construction cost up to $110 million. He has managed multi-site project design and construction administration for new construction, renovations of existing facilities and renovation of occupied facilities. As a LEED Accredited Professional, he is skilled in the application of design concepts that are both energy efficient and sustainable. Josh joined the firm in 2009 and since that time has steadily increased his responsibility and project management skills.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys exercising outdoors as an avid runner and cyclist. Once a collegiate soccer player, he now competes as a triathlete with several Ironman competitions under his belt. Most importantly, however, he continually trains in his role as husband and father, which is his greatest passion.
