Camp Hero

MEP Engineering was contracted by ECC to provide design services for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and power systems for a new forward operating base located in the Kandahar region of Afghanistan. The MEP design included diesel power generation, fuel distribution and stand-alone MEP systems for approximately 60 buildings on the base.

MEP Engineering, Inc. acted as a Consultant to the general contractor, who coordinated the construction on-site. Due to the necessity to construct the base quickly, design and construction of each site was commonly 12 months from beginning to end.

MEP Engineering partnered with the contractor to design Camp Hero for the US Army Corps of Engineers which opened in 2012.
